Magic Island is just outside of Waikiki, in Ala Moana Beach Park with vast green lawns, coconut trees, calm waves, and the majestic view of Diamond Head. Magic Island is popular with walkers and joggers, and paddlers practicing in the distance. A beach at the end of the park with it’s beautiful sunsets is a lovely setting .
Makapu’u at the south-eastern end of Oahu. It’s rocky coastline, infinite blue waters and scenic view, is a popular destination for surfers and body-boarders. This is a public beach, but is also quiet, private and intimate. The lighthouse on the cliff adds a special charm.
Wai’alae, just a short drive past Diamond Head, creates an island-like oasis with it’s long white sandy beach, palm trees and and lawn.
Waikiki with it’s clear turquoise waters, surfers, canoes and palm trees is just a walk away from the hotels and excitement of the city! Waikiki is the most public, populated area of the island, and everyone loves watching a wedding. Duke Kahanamoku Beach, named best beach in the U.S. by Dr. Beach in 2014, is on the far west end of Waikiki Beach, fronting the Hilton Hawaiian Village is the widest beach in Waikiki.
Waimanalo and the beaches on the East Shore of the island have some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Sherwood Forest at Waimanalo Bay Beach has miles of white sandy beach that gently slope into the Pacific ocean, wonderful views of offshore islands and a gorgeous background of the Ko’olau Mountains! Named 2015 best beach in the U.S. by Dr. Beach!
